Your screen is
not a picture.
Hold ⌘⇧ and circle anything on screen. ScreenForm reads what's actually there, then hands back an answer, a table you can edit, or a file you can export.
Free. 15 actions a month, no card, no subscription.

Gesture
Three moves, and you never leave the app.
No screenshot, no crop, no pasting context into a chat window. The answer comes to where you already are.
Overlay on
A transparent layer covers every display. Nothing steals focus, and your apps keep running underneath.
Region captured
Lasso a chart, an error, a table, a paragraph. Release and everything outside the stroke dims.
Answer in place
Type an instruction and hit Return. The answer streams in beside your selection. Esc dismisses it.
Input
It reads more than the pixels.
Before your question goes anywhere, ScreenForm gathers what it can tell about where you are, in parallel and on-device. You never have to explain the situation.
Gathered in parallel
Every source is collected at once while you're still typing, so the extra context costs you nothing in wait time.
Nothing leaves except the question
OCR and context gathering run entirely on your Mac. Only the assembled question and the region you circled make a network call.
Follow-ups keep the thread
The original capture and the whole conversation stay in context, so "and compare that to Q3" just works.
Output
Pixels in. Data out.
ScreenForm works out what you circled, whether that's a table, a block of text, or a chart, and pulls it into something live. A table you can edit and export, not a paragraph describing a table.

It never invents data. Cells it couldn't read are flagged in amber, not filled in with a plausible guess. Anywhere you see this color on the page, it means the same thing: ScreenForm isn't sure, and it's telling you.
Capabilities
What it does once it has read.
Not a chat window you paste into. An action layer that sits over whatever you're already doing.
Answers stream in place
Responses render token by token in a panel beside your selection, never in another window and never behind a tab switch.
Actions, not just answers
Every answer carries the obvious next moves as one-tap chips, so you don't have to type the follow-up you were always going to type.
Live web search, with sources
When an answer needs something current, like a price, a version number, or a quote, ScreenForm looks it up and shows you where it came from.
Lives in the menu bar
One icon, no dock presence, no window to manage. It never takes focus, and quitting it actually quits it.
Boundaries
It only looks when you draw.
Capture is meant to be impossible to miss: the overlay, the dimming, the moving stroke. If you don't see all three, it isn't happening.
Capture is deliberate
The screen is read only when you hold the shortcut and draw. Never silently, never on a timer, never in the background.
Local by default
OCR and context gathering never leave your Mac. Temporary captures are deleted when the session ends.
Keys stay on your Mac
Free requests go through our proxy, so no provider key ships inside the app. Your own key lives in the macOS Keychain.
Cost
No subscription. Ever.
One action is one answered question. Start free, and bring your own key the day fifteen a month stops being enough.
